Windows.10.Spring.Creators. UpdateWindows 10 Spring Creators Update is coming in April! Don’t worry, it’s mostly aesthetic, but there are some functional improvements and changes that may “feel” different to the user.

Any questions or concerns about the update can be directed to CompuData’s Support Team!

Just in case you are worried about what’s coming up with Windows 10, here’s a few things to know.

It’s almost here – and you’ll notice a new feel: Windows 10 Spring Creators Update will be available in April. A few quick things you’ll notice fast, you can now use a two finger swipe gesture to dismiss all notifications in the Action Center. Windows will now show you your personalized lock screen when selecting your account on the login page. Documents and Pictures are now listed in the Start menu hamburger menu by default. Virtual Desktops has moved to the top of the Task View UI.

Bluetooth bliss: Pairing a new Bluetooth device is tedious in Windows 10 right now, but that will change in the next update, according to Extreme Tech. Quick Pair will let you associate a new Bluetooth device with your computer in a single click. Just put the device in pairing mode, and wait for the notification to appear on your desktop. Click the “Connect” button, and you’re done. Unfortunately, this feature requires manufacturer support.

Timeline time: The Timeline feature, which was originally set to show itself in Windows 10’s Fall Creators Update, is making its debut in the Spring Creators Update. Timeline enhances the “Task View” with a history of activities you’ve previously performed on your computer. When you click the “Task View” button on your taskbar or press Windows+Tab, you’ll see activities from “Earlier Today” as well as previous days below your currently open application. This might include web pages you had open in Microsoft Edge and documents you were working on in Microsoft Word.

Keeping things private: A new privacy settings page will present itself during device setup. Watch for it!

Relax, you can postpone: Most feature updates for Windows 10 come in at around 3GB, but depending on your system this will vary. The update will show up in Windows Update under the name “Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803” that will bring with it all the newest features and updates. You can postpone the update for 7 days if you wish, but the update will eventually need to install.
